Quiz Answers

We hope you had fun answering the quiz.  If you haven't answered the quiz yet, click here to take the quiz.
Below is some details on each item.  Enjoy reading. :D

1.  We became "more than friends" last September 29, 1997.  It was a lazy afternoon.  There was no class.  I told Quennie that I love her.  She was silent at first.  That made me scared.  But then she suddenly looked at me in the eye and gave me a big hug.  After that, I hear her whisper in my ear, "Yes, Jin.  I love you, too."

Oct. 1 is Jinoe's birthday.  Sept. 18 is Quennie's birthday.  And Dec 25 is... well... Christmas Day.

2.  101 Dalamatians was our first movie together.  That's why the number 101 is overused in our relationship.

3.  The Waltz.  We danced this for a dance presentation with the Engineering Dance Society in college.  It was worth remembering since Quennie stepped on my feet several times during the dance and I have to keep a straight face.  We are planning to do the waltz again on our wedding day.

4.  Quennie and I dont agree if it was the stuff toy named "Leeloo" or the three golden eggs I gave her.  But since Im the one writing, I say it's the eggs.

5.  600+ letters altogether.  We lost count but I know I have gave more than 400 to Que and I must have more than 500 from her.  We exchange letters in college.  That was when we dont have telephones at home and cellphones doesn't exist yet.  We still keep all of those letters except for one important letter that Quennie lost.  Today, we seldom write to each other.

6.  We place *! at the end of each letter or a note.  It's a symbol that means something.  It a shortcut to a long string to words.

7.  The note placed on a Post-it was written in Korean.  I don't even know what it means.  I just copied the letters exactly as I saw them from a stationary.  I placed it inside her wallet.  When she got to the office, she saw the note and asked a friend who knows a little Korean what it means.  Her friend was able to read a few.  All I remember was that there was a word for "love" and a word for "forever".  I chose the right letters after all.

8.  Quennie made me a plate-size Leche Flan.  She made it, gave it to me and asked me to eat it.  A rule in relationship is never to criticize your partners cooking.  So I have to finish everything.  It does taste good (ehem).  But I have to go home after an hour and head straight to the toilet.  I missed a class for that.  She never made me another leche flan since.

9.  We have an album of tissues, a shelf of Coke cans, and one side of the ref full of magnets.  Some of them came from different countries.  Either we collect them ourselves, or we ask friends who have travelled to bring one for us.

10.  We call each other Yam Pie or just Pie for short.  It's the ube piaya from Bacolod.  Quennie started calling me that when she noticed I could finish a box of Piaya by myself.  We have other name for each other.  But this one is the latest.

11.  None of the above.  I have been to Hongkong, Shanghai, Singapore and US.  Quennie have been to Madrid and Paris.  We have never been together in a foreign trip yet.  So a honeymoon outside of the country is a must!  :D

12.  We celebrated our 10 years last 2007, our 101 Months last 2006 and our 1001 Days last 1999.  Counting it to that level was fun.  Celebrating it was even exciting.

13.  Spicy Finger at Greenbelt 2.  I had other options but Quennie wanted it near Makati since it was Friday night.  So I picked a good place just within the Ayala area.  I forced my intial plans or else it would blow my cover.  But the place was good.  Food was perfect.  The ambiance was just right.  Nothing fancy, not crowded.  There was a live band, but they were not playing the songs I wanted since I never asked them to play anything for us.  It's a good place to make a proposal without giving any hint.  It fits my plan very well.

14.  The ring was placed inside a book.  The book was a travel guide to Paris since she will be leaving for a business trip in Madrid in a few weeks and she is planning to visit Paris.

15.  I didn't want anyone to take part in the proposal.  So I never asked the band to play anything.  It was their first song.  "This Masquerade" by the Carpenters.  I was hoping for a better one.  But I was already showing her the book when they started singing it.  I wanted to retrieve the book and wait for another song.  But then, I decided to give it anyway.  :D
